Both the scent and the overall experience were great. The buying process was frictionless and a seemingly personalized anecdote included in an email from the team really made me feel that my business was valued. I would highly recommend both the scent and the business. The scent itself is a much more wearable version of the original interlude man, with the substitution of the rosemary and violet leaf notes for the oregano and pepper notes creating a more approachable opening and the overall formulation being smoothed out by the addition of orris. I feel like this is definitely signature scent worthy for a mature man looking to make a confident statement without being offensive or overly intrusive.

The OG "Blue Beast" was just too much for me--great perfume, but just not my style--I don't like smelling "loud" or choking the room out when I walk in LOL The smoothed edges in this version bring softer mysterious layers that draw you in (instead of slapping you upside the head) with the introduction of that violet leaf atop the fat, creamy streak of iris--just heavenly--before this juice finally settles down into a subtle, gorgeous sweet smoky incense vibe on your skin...for hours.

I also really appreciate that I don't go anosmic with this. I'm catching various nuances and changing notes with each movement and gesture, so my nose stays interested and doesn't shut down. It's a blessing to be able to enjoy it from opening to drydown, unlike some others I wear.
